After detailed clinical evaluation and imaging, the gynecology team at ASKI Super Specialty Hospital, Bagalkot successfully performed an exploratory laparotomy with complete excision of the giant ovarian cyst while preserving the patient's future fertility. The surgery, led by Dr. Guruprasad, Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, was completed without complications, and histopathological examination confirmed the cyst was benign. The patient recovered well and was discharged in stable condition. This rare clinical case highlights the importance of early diagnosis, timely surgical intervention, and specialized gynecological expertise in managing large ovarian cysts in adolescents. Prompt treatment not only prevents serious complications such as ovarian torsion, rupture, and internal bleeding but also ensures excellent long-term outcomes and fertility preservation.
